Color-Themed Annual Gardens

Create endless bouquets of intoxicating colors, textures and scents this summer!

Summer will be overflowing with glorious color when you grow or gift our pre-planned annual gardens. We have carefully selected varieties that are easy to grow in a sunny spot and will bloom at the same time-almost all are excellent cut flowers too! The summer collections will bloom until frost with care, The Patriotic Posies garden are early summer bloomers only, in all but the coolest summer areas.

All collections are composed of individual seed packets with growing instructions, including a colorful garden plan. Each collection will easily plant a 80-100 square foot garden and can be sown direct into a prepared garden bed. Remember to always plant tallest varieties in the back of your garden bed and shorter ones in front, as illustrated in our example garden plans.

Cut a circular bed in the lawn close by your patio. Set up a tripod for the moonflowers in the center and surround with the taller growing tobaccos, cleome and basket flower. Use intermediate height datura and four o’clocks in the middle, placing low growing night phlox and sweet alyssum in front. Silver sage salvia can be used as silvery accent foliage at the edge.
